When you hear your child talking in their room and you know they are just waking up, you tend to just let them be until you know they are ready to get out. This morning was just like that, except Sydney is now able to reach over and get things off her shelf and this happens.
By the way, this is not an expression of pain but rather a "if I close my eyes, maybe mom won't see me" expression.
I think its time to move her stuffed animals up to the shelf.
